The Day I Lost My Custom Wedding Ring
The other day I had a close call while I was out shopping. When I was in the public restroom washing my hands, my wedding ring must have slipped off of my finger. A short while later I noticed the ring was missing and retraced my steps in a frantic effort to find it. Luckily a Good Samaritan had found it and left a note in the bathroom instructing the owner to pick it up at the mall’s lost and found department. The man working there asked me to describe my missing ring, so I told him what the engraving said. As he handed it back to me, he told me I was lucky that it was a custom wedding ring that was not easily identifiable, because several greedy people had seen the note in the restroom and tried to claim the ring as their own. I was so grateful to have it back, because it means a lot to me. The very next day, I made an appointment to have the band resized.
